With every job, our goal is to complete the agreed-upon scope of work in the allowed time frame and to ensure the final product meets—or exceeds—our high standards of quality. We deliver the service efficiency and accuracy our clients demand by maintaining strong managerial control of projects and by operating with sound business practices.
With meticulous attention to detail, emphasis on accountability, and a hands-on approach we strive to establish excellent relationships with our clients. We consult with our clients during the planning stages and keep them updated regularly during construction. It’s important to us that clients understand the necessary development and construction processes in order to make informed decisions.
Plan. Using the information gathered from the client meetings and discussions with the architects, engineers, sub-contractors, and relevant consultants, we develop an execution plan. This plan outlines a master schedule for all phases of the project, taking into accounts such factors as long lead times, materials purchase and delivery, availability of tradespeople, and the feasibility of the design, technical, and logistical components. Our schedules are aggressive, but achievable with the aim to complete the job within the clients’ time frame. The plan also establishes specific project controls such as progress milestones, and regular budget and timeline reviews with the clients and with the construction team.
Prior to the start of construction, we undertake all the necessary preparations. These preparations include, but are not limited to:
• reviewing Environmental and/or Site Audits/Investigations;
• ensuring safety protocols are in place;
• reviewing site plan, land use, and zoning regulations;
• arranging adequate insurance and advising the clients about statutory requirements;
• and ensuring all approvals, permits, and licenses required for construction are obtained.
Manage and Execute. Through constant monitoring of the budget, the schedule, and the overall progress of the construction, we maintain control of the project. If any issues arise, we know immediately. We then consult with the clients and necessary sub-contractors to find solutions. As issues are resolved and details finalized, we prepare and release the revised budget, scheduling, and progress reports.
All work done by sub-contractors is inspected to ensure that it meets our standards and that it is in accordance to specifications and drawings. Inferior work is rejected and we monitor its replacement until the work is completed properly.
Once construction is finished and the certificate of completion has been issued, we manage the smooth transition of a building to the owner’s operating staff by providing necessary training and instruction. In addition, we assist the owner in administering the guarantees by trade contractors during the guarantee period.

One of the many initiatives Million Dollar Smiles takes on is the building of backyard playgrounds for these kids—an excellent way to put smiles on their faces. For the past five years we have been proud to help to supervise and build these playgrounds.
